Hardware Transformed the Classroom. Software Transforms the Learning.
EduSync’s “ClassBoard” Redefines Digital Learning Environments
Interactive displays and student tablets have already become familiar fixtures in classrooms. Yet the mere presence of digital hardware does not automatically transform the way students learn. The true challenge facing education today lies in connecting fragmented devices into one cohesive instructional flow — one that teachers and students can genuinely experience as meaningful change.
It is precisely at this intersection that EduSync began its journey. Led by CEO Kwon Gawon, the edtech company is reshaping digital classrooms through “ClassBoard,” a smart classroom operation solution built around interactive display technology. More than simply digitizing the classroom environment, EduSync aims to translate digital infrastructure into tangible instructional innovation.
Turning Interactive Displays into Connected Learning Platforms
Digital transformation in education has accelerated rapidly in recent years. Schools are increasingly equipped with interactive flat panels, while students are provided with tablets or laptops as standard learning tools. However, according to Kwon Gawon, much of classroom instruction still remains anchored in the traditional “chalkboard-centered” paradigm.
After graduating from Hanyang University with a degree in Finance and Business Administration, Kwon accumulated experience across startup ecosystems and business consulting. While observing paperless transformation initiatives in public institutions, he began exploring ways to efficiently connect tablets and digital displays eventually recognizing a far greater need within educational environments.
“Interactive displays had already been widely distributed, but in many cases they were still being used like ordinary whiteboards,” Kwon explains. “Teachers’ screens, student devices, instructional materials, and lesson records were all operating separately. We wanted to connect those elements into a single educational flow.”
EduSync’s ClassBoard is a classroom management and instructional platform that synchronizes interactive displays, teacher web interfaces, and student tablets in real time. Teachers can prepare lessons in advance and instantly access materials through the classroom display. They can also monitor student screens, share selected student work to the main display, and preserve all lesson annotations and activity records for future review or instructional planning.
At the heart of the platform lies one defining principle: connectivity.
Rather than functioning merely as a projection device, the interactive display becomes a collaborative educational hub that links teachers, students, learning resources, and classroom data into one seamless ecosystem.
Reducing Teachers’ Burden While Increasing Student Participation
ClassBoard’s growing recognition in schools stems not from flashy features, but from practical usability.
Teachers no longer need to carry laptops or USB drives from classroom to classroom. By creating a lesson room in advance, they can instantly connect teaching materials and student devices simply by entering a six-digit code on the interactive display.
During lessons, teachers can monitor students’ progress in real time without physically moving around the classroom. Instead of manually checking notebooks or screens one by one, instructors can immediately identify which students are following the lesson successfully and which may require additional support.
This operational efficiency fundamentally changes classroom participation. Students move beyond passively copying notes from a board and instead engage directly through their personal devices. Even students who may hesitate to speak publicly can submit questions or responses through their tablets, allowing teachers to incorporate broader participation into classroom interaction.
Kwon also emphasizes that ClassBoard helps narrow the digital competency gap among educators.
“Some teachers possess exceptional teaching ability but feel uncomfortable with digital devices, while younger teachers may be highly familiar with technology yet still developing classroom management experience. ClassBoard helps reduce those disparities and maintain a more consistent standard of digital instruction across schools.”
Today, ClassBoard is actively being used in multiple educational institutions, where it has also gained attention from administrators. Through the platform’s management dashboard, schools can monitor classroom creation status, interactive display usage, and content utilization rates — data that can further support digital literacy training and instructional planning initiatives.
Engineering Stability for Real Classroom Environments
Unlike corporate offices, schools often operate within unstable or limited network environments. When dozens of students simultaneously connect tablets and interactive displays in real time, system stability becomes one of the most critical determinants of usability.
EduSync addressed this challenge through its own lightweight synchronization architecture.
Instead of transmitting handwritten notes and classroom content as heavy image or video files, the system converts pen strokes into lightweight coordinate and motion data. By transmitting vector-based information rather than large multimedia files, EduSync dramatically reduces network load while maintaining smooth real-time responsiveness.
In simple terms, rather than sending bulky image files, the platform transmits precise information about where a line begins, how it moves, and where it ends.
This approach allows dozens of students to participate simultaneously even in schools with imperfect network conditions.
ClassBoard is also built on a web-based structure compatible with multiple operating systems, including Windows and Android environments. Because the platform is not dependent on a specific hardware manufacturer, it offers substantial scalability across different classroom infrastructures and international markets.
Security architecture was another priority in EduSync’s design philosophy. The system can operate through internal school servers, enabling institutions to align with their own data governance and privacy policies. Rather than aggressively collecting educational data externally, EduSync structured the platform to allow schools themselves to maintain secure ownership and management of instructional information.
This technological foundation has also attracted investment attention. EduSync secured investment from Ewha Womans University Technology Holdings and New Paradigm Investment, positioning the company to accelerate R&D expansion and future AI-based educational services.
Expanding Beyond Public Education
EduSync’s ambitions extend far beyond public school classrooms.
After validating both usability and technological reliability within schools, the company is now expanding into private academies, corporate training, vocational education, and overseas markets.
In the academy sector, EduSync introduced “ClassBoard Academy,” a solution designed specifically to address the operational burden of supplementary makeup classes. During lessons, the system automatically records board annotations, audio, and teaching materials, allowing absent students to later review the session through dedicated tablets. Administrators can also track viewing completion and study duration, helping institutions reduce disputes related to tuition reimbursement or parental communication.
The platform’s collaborative structure also offers applications in corporate and public-sector environments. Multiple presenters can simultaneously connect materials to a single interactive display, enabling real-time collaborative presentation systems. The architecture has even demonstrated potential applications in integrated news briefing and emergency response systems.
EduSync is also accelerating global expansion efforts. The company is actively building partnerships across Malaysia, Singapore, and Central Asia while pursuing bundled distribution strategies alongside interactive display manufacturers and tablet distributors.
Future plans include registration with Korea’s national public procurement platform, GS (Good Software) certification acquisition, and even hardware OEM production all part of EduSync’s long-term vision to evolve into a comprehensive educational infrastructure company.
For Kwon Gawon, however, the ultimate goal extends beyond becoming another educational software provider.
“Digital devices are already inside classrooms,” he says. “What matters now is connecting those devices in ways that genuinely improve instruction. We want to become a company that helps teachers deliver better lessons, encourages students to participate more actively, and enables educational institutions to fully utilize their digital resources.”
EduSync’s greatest strength lies in balancing technological sophistication with a deep understanding of classroom reality.
What schools truly need is not abstract rhetoric about the future. They need systems that make today’s lessons less complicated and tomorrow’s learning more intelligently designed. By bridging the gap between interactive displays and student devices through thoughtfully engineered software, EduSync is building something remarkably practical and increasingly essential.
On top of hardware-transformed classrooms, EduSync is now constructing a new operational framework for learning itself.
